Wedding Photography- FAQ

Updated: Nov 18, 2022

If you are thinking about booking with me and would like to know more about my wedding photography packages, then here are my most frequently asked questions.

Hopefully this little Q&A will help, but feel free to reach out with any further questions as I'm always available for a chat and would love to hear from you!

How Many Photos Do We Get?

The deliverables may vary depending on the events of your day you would like captured. With my full day wedding packages, typically you can expect to receive between 500- 600 images. I never withhold any of your photos so as long as they meet my criteria so you will receive all of your best images!

The size of your final gallery can also depend on how your day unfolds, for example if you have lots of entertainment or surprises planned, family traditions, firework displays etc. then there will be a lot more to capture. If you require a second photographer, then we will have a lot more of your story to tell in your final photos.

When Can We Expect To Receive Our Gallery?

Around 6-8 weeks, with sneak peeks as early as a couple of days to a week after the wedding. I do try and send through sneak peeks as soon as I can to my clients while they are still basking in the glow of their magical day!

How Do We Receive Our Photos?

You will receive an email link to your online viewing gallery. From there you can download all of your images which come unwatermarked and with print release. If you would like your gallery backed up on a USB then I have some beautifully presented print and USB options for you.

Any choice of prints can then be made once your gallery is delivered, these will be hand delivered if you live locally, otherwise they will be sent first class in the post. We can discuss any canvas and wedding album options as prices will vary depending on size and finish of your chosen product.

Can You Photoshop My Images?

I do light touch ups so any breakouts, blemishes, bumps and bruises will all be edited out. Softening the skin and fine lines, then I have you covered but altering body shapes is not my thing. Believe me you are beautiful as you are and even more so on your wedding day!

If you do have any concerns, then I fully recommend an engagement session/ pre-wedding shoot. Here we will be able to see what works best for you, allow you to become more comfortable in front of the camera and discuss any likes and dislikes so we can deliver photos you absolutely LOVE! Complimentary engagement sessions are offered with my full wedding day packages but can be booked separately.

Do We Need A Second Photographer?

I add the option of a second shooter when sending through package prices, but of course they come with an additional fee.

A second shooter can offer a different perspective, seeing the same moment from another angle and with that capturing a different emotion. More of your story will be told through two sets of photographs so a second is always worth considering, however, first check your budget, have a chat with your photographer about your expectations, what's most important to you and how you envisioned your photographs, and they will be able to advice you better on whether or not a second shooter is required.

Do You Have a Videographer You Like To Work With?

I know some really incredible videographers I can recommend and love to work with, but I'd also be happy to work with any videographer of your choosing. I’d ask for their contact info so we can meet beforehand and make plan of action together.

What Happens If It Rains?

Ahh yes, the great British weather! I always come prepared! There will be equipment cover for me and clear umbrellas for you which also make great props! We can still create beautiful images and have fun with a little rain.

I visit your venue beforehand to scope out the grounds and inside areas to utilise, so if it is pouring down then I will have spaces and places for your photos within your venue.

Can We Request a Certain Shot?

Absolutely! I am happy to take a look at any images you have seen that you love, you could even put together a Pinterest board of your favourite images. It will allow me to get a better understanding of what you like and if we are able to create our own version of an image you love, then great!

Do We Need To Feed You?

I wouldn't expect you to cater for me, however, it is always appreciated with it being a long working day. Some venues include the photographer in your food price, though I am happy to make a packed lunch.

I hope this has answered a few of your questions, like I said please do get in touch as I would love to hear all about your special day!
